Shannon Lowell Frady is a visual content producer and writer whose work has moved between New York and China for over two decades. He began documenting protest movements in New York as a teenager, and later developed an independent filmmaking career that included a produced screenplay collaboration with Japanese director Sogo Ishii (Gakuryu Ishii) which won “Best Of” SciFi at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival in 2020. In 2001, he relocated to China for seven years, shooting and producing for IBM, Shell Oil, Microsoft, Elle, The Economist and many others. He subsequently returned to the U.S., where he achieved the rank of E4/Specialist (TS/SCI) as a Reporter/Analyst for the National Security Agency, issuing briefings to CIA, DIA, NSA, the State Department and NATO, supplementing his earlier education at Syracuse University with a Magna Cum Laude BA degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, at ASU. He is currently producing an 8-episode fictionalized espionage drama series released on YouTube. He is currently based in Philadelphia.
