Founded in 2012 by experienced investors and entrepreneurs, The Seelig Group LLC is a New York-based private Media & Entertainment principal investment and advisory firm. The company is best known as the parent of TSG Entertainment Finance LLC, an American film finance entity that co-financed over 140 films for 20th Century Fox/20th Century Studios and Sony Pictures, investing more than $3.3 billion in titles such as The Shape of Water, Bohemian Rhapsody, the Deadpool franchise, and Avatar: The Way of Water. In 2023, TSG filed a major lawsuit against Disney alleging breach of contract and Hollywood accounting violations related to the streaming distribution of co-financed films, which was settled in January 2024. The firm also makes direct investments in media and entertainment companies, with portfolio investments including Particle Ink and Revery Media.
