Technoprops

Technoprops is a Van Nuys, California-based virtual production hardware division of Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), a subsidiary of Lucasfilm/The Walt Disney Company. Founded in 2000 by Glenn Derry, the company is the industry's leading manufacturer of head-mounted camera (HMC) systems for facial and performance capture, as well as virtual production tools including the FIZ Logger, Ccolor software, Simulcam, and Pro Virtual Camera systems. Technoprops technology has been used on landmark productions including Avatar, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Disney's The Jungle Book, Warcraft, and Halo 4. In 2021, Technoprops received an Academy Scientific and Technical Achievement Award for its widely-adopted head-mounted camera system.
