Revolution Studios Distribution Company, LLC is an American independent motion picture, television, and foreign sales company founded by Joe Roth in 2000 and currently led by CEO Scott Hemming. The company owns one of the largest independent film libraries, comprising 126 motion pictures (including Black Hawk Down, xXx, Maid in Manhattan, Hugo, and Up in the Air) that have collectively earned over $7.1 billion at the global box office, plus 240 television episodes. Now primarily a rights-management, licensing, and library-exploitation entity, Revolution focuses on developing theatrical sequels, TV series, and stage productions derived from its extensive IP catalog, with global TV and digital distribution handled by Sony Pictures Television.
