Morgan-Wixson Theatre

The Morgan-Wixson Theatre, operated by the Santa Monica Theatre Guild (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, DBA), is the oldest theatrical organization in Santa Monica, founded in 1946. It is a volunteer-run, approximately 200-seat community theatre presenting a diverse annual MainStage season of plays and musicals for general audiences, as well as the award-winning Youth Education/Entertainment Series (Y.E.S.), which stages imaginative adaptations from children's literature. The Y.E.S. program was selected as the nation's Outstanding New Children's Theatre Company by the American Alliance for Theatre and Education in 2008. The organization receives grants from the California Arts Council, the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, and the Santa Monica Arts Commission.
