About

Durga Entertainment is a New York City-based independent film production company founded by Ritu Kamal Singh (formerly Ritu Singh Pande) that champions underrepresented voices, particularly those of women of color, through narrative feature films. The company produces stories centered on the feminine experience, identity, and transformation, with a commitment to amplifying diverse perspectives that push back against industry stereotypes. Durga's slate includes festival-recognized films such as May in the Summer, A Woman, A Part, First Match, Car Dogs, and Nomad Shadow, and the company has partnered with IFP (now Gotham Film & Media Institute) to offer filmmaker grants supporting parents in independent film.
