How to add your IMDb credits to your Production List profile

Production List does not import credits from IMDb automatically: an IMDb link on your profile shows as a link. To list the credits themselves, open Add your credits from your account, paste your filmography from IMDb or your résumé, confirm the productions we match, and submit them for review. Approved credits appear on your crew profile marked as added by you.

Before you start: claim your profile

Credits are added to a crew profile you have claimed. If you have not claimed yours, find it on Production List, open it and click Claim this profile. Our team verifies each claim. If you do not have a profile yet, you can create one from your account.

Add your credits

Go to Add your credits in your account, or click Add credits on your profile.
Paste your credits. Copy your filmography from your IMDb page, or paste it from your résumé or CV. The formatting does not need tidying.
Click Find my credits. We read the list and match each title to productions on Production List.
Review the matches. Strong matches are ticked for you; anything marked Check this one needs a look before you tick it. Correct your role on any credit where it is not right.
Click Submit for review.

What happens next

Our team checks each submission. Approved credits appear on your profile with a small Added by you label, which tells visitors the credit came from you rather than from our own research.

Why some credits are not matched

Production List tracks film and television productions, mostly from 2016 onward. Titles we do not hold appear under Not on Production List yet and cannot be added for now. Some productions are listed under their working title rather than the release title. If a production you worked on is missing or a match looks wrong, use Suggest an edit on the production page, or contact us.

Common questions

Does Production List import my credits from IMDb automatically?

No. Your IMDb link shows on your profile as a link. To list your credits, paste your filmography into Add your credits and confirm the matches.

Do I need a paid membership to add credits?

No. You need a claimed, verified crew profile; adding credits is free.

Why does a credit say "Added by you"?

Credits that members add themselves are labelled so visitors can tell them apart from credits Production List researched.

Some of my credits are not on Production List. Why?

We list productions we track, mostly film and television from 2016 onward. Titles we do not hold show under Not on Production List yet.

Can I remove a credit?

Yes. Contact us and we will take it off your profile.
