UNConventional Entertainment is a female-led, non-scripted production company founded by veteran factual executive Gena McCarthy, operating under an overall deal with Sony Pictures Television's nonfiction group. The company specializes in lifestyle and factual entertainment formats across genres including relationships, home, food, survival, Americana, competition, and crime, with SPT providing all associated production services. Its flagship series, Celebrations with Lacey Chabert, premiered on Hallmark+ in 2024 and was renewed for a second season in 2025, and the company has additionally sold projects to Lifetime, weTV, TLC, OWN, and Paramount+. Represented by Buchwald (as of June 2024), UNConventional is part of SPT's growing nonfiction portfolio alongside companies such as Sharp Entertainment, IPC, and B17 Entertainment.
