Outside Films is a French independent audiovisual production company based in Levallois-Perret (near Paris), founded in 2011 by journalist-producer Stéphane Simon and director Gilles de Maistre. The company built its reputation across roughly thirty historical and heritage documentaries before expanding into fiction features, most notably L'Outsider and Mia et le lion blanc (2018). Led today by Stéphane Simon (Président) and Marion de Blaÿ (Directrice Générale, appointed May 2025), Outside Films pursues an editorial line focused on inspiring, socially resonant stories in both documentary and drama, co-producing with major French partners including UGC and France 3 Cinéma.
