#Merky Films

#Merky Films is a British film and television production company incorporated on 31 October 2019 and publicly launched in June 2025 by rapper and artist Stormzy (Michael Omari), alongside directors Tobe Onwuka and Akua Agyemfra. The company aims to champion new voices and powerful British storytelling, with a focus on underrepresented communities and Black British experiences. It has entered into a development deal with Netflix (with a TV drama series and biopic in development), produced its debut short film 'Big Man' in association with Apple (directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Aneil Karia), and is co-producing an official Ian Wright biopic. #Merky Films is part of Stormzy's broader #Merky brand, which also includes #Merky Books (with Penguin Random House), #Merky FC (with Adidas), and the #Merky Foundation.
