Kalahari Film & Media

Kalahari Film & Media (operating as Kalahari Pictures) is a leading Cape Town-based production company founded in 2002 by American producer Michael S. Murphey, offering co-production and full production services for international feature films, TV series, and commercials filming in Southern Africa. The company rebranded from Kalahari Pictures to Kalahari Film & Media in 2014 when South African producer Irfaan Fredericks joined as co-owner, before reverting to the Kalahari Pictures banner. Its track record includes the Oscar-nominated District 9, the global blockbuster Dredd 3D, The Triangle (Emmy and Saturn Award winner), The Librarian (Emmy-nominated), SAF3, and The Pirates of Somalia.
